The Clown

I’ve no sense of humour, I confess.

Clowns always disturbed me with their vile costumes and creepy jokes.

When I saw my son scared too, I couldn’t help myself – I punched the clown.

  1. hehehe, good for you! I hate clowns too! Please punch him once more for my sake too! Well written for the challenge Lena! 🙂 *hugs*

    • There is just something simultaneous sad, creepy and scary about them! Although I wouldn’t want to hit one for real it is fun to indulge in some fantasy once in a while so I’ll make sure he gets your punch too 😉 Thanks for your comment Sonel and *hugs*

  2. I don’t know why, but I found the last line of your response comical–for me it was unexpected, but It made me smile and laugh out loud (so thank you).

  3. Poor clown. They can’t help it if they paint smiles (and frowns) on their face, wear outlandish clothes, or shoes that are eighteen sizes too big.
Hmmm…that is kind of creepy. Maybe a punch is in order…

  4. Ohhh poor clown. There is a grand consensus that clowns are: scary, creepy, vile, evil, and wicked. I always thought they were sad. Anyone who has to paint a smile on, must be very sad beneath it.

That doesn’t mean I cannot appreciate a good thwock in the nose… hehehhe.

    • I think they are a bit of everything! And the funny thing is that when they are good, you can forget there is a real person under the make-up and costume and really get freaked out…

    • I didn’t see that coming! You’re right about horror movies, I guess they are one of the reasons why so many people find clowns scary or creepy. Thanks for your comment, Ann.
